The Totalsports Women’s Race Joburg will bring thousands of women to the streets of “the city of gold” this coming Sunday, 16 August 2026, in celebration of Women’s Month and in support of PinkDrive. To ensure a safe and enjoyable race-day experience, temporary road closures will be in place, and motorists are encouraged to plan their journeys accordingly.

- Start 10km: Judith Rd at Orange St intersection
- Start 5km: Orange St at Judith St intersection
Finish Venue: Orange Road and Buffalo Road Junction, Marks Park
ROAD CLOSURE SCHEDULE:
Starting and finishing at Marks Park Sports Club on Judith Street, Parkview, the event route passes through the Parkview, Westcliff, Greenside and Emmarentia precincts. The event is fully compliant with all City of Johannesburg Joint Operations Committee (COJ JOC) requirements and will be supported on race day by the Johannesburg Metropolitan Police Department (JMPD).
Temporary road closures will be implemented as outlined below to ensure the safety of participants and all road users.

| 04:00 | Judith Street, Orange Street, Greenhill Road and the Marks Park precinct close for the start chute and finish area setup. |
| 06:00 | Hill Road and Sabie Road closures commence. |
| 06:30 | Parkview and Westcliff closures come into effect, including Rustenburg, Carlow, Kilkenny, Armagh Roads and Westcliff Drive. |
| 07:00 | Jan Smuts Avenue, Lower Park Drive, Donegal Avenue, Gleneagles, Hoylake, Muirfield, Greenfield and Troon Road close. |
| 07:15 | 5km route closures commence: Barry Hertzog Avenue, Mowbray Road, Gullane Road and Greenside Road. |
| 08:00 | 10km race starts on Judith Street. |
| 08:30 | 5km race starts on Orange Street. |
| 08:45 | Start closes officially. No further participants will be released onto either route. |
| 09:15 | Progressive road reopening begins, with roads reopening section by section behind the sweeper vehicle. |
| 11:00 | Last participant expected to finish. |
| 13:00 | Event venue closes and all roads reopen to normal traffic flow. |
ACCESS DURING THE EVENT:
Road closures will be implemented on a progressive basis, with each road reopening as soon as the last participant and the sweeper vehicle have passed, on the instruction of the event Venue Operations Centre (VOC). Resident and emergency vehicle access will be facilitated by JMPD officers and event marshals stationed at all closure points, wherever it is safe to do so.
Please plan your movements around the above times and allow additional travel time if departing or returning during the road closure period.
