Runners and walkers have one last chance to be part of SA’s largest Women’s Day celebration as entries for the much-anticipated 2023 Totalsports Women’s Race close this week.
“The Totalsports Women’s Race will be a lively celebration on National Women’s Day, promoting a healthy lifestyle, while inviting all women – from grandmothers to daughters – to unite in support of PinkDrive,” shares Michael Meyer, Managing Director of Stillwater Sports. “Thousands of South Africans will come together in three major cities – Cape Town, Johannesburg, and Durban – to enjoy the 10km run/walk that starts at 08:00 and the 5km run/walk that starts at 08:10. Regardless of the distance chosen, the event emphasizes the joy of participation and the collective support for women. Brace yourself for a vibrant pink spectacle, as the streets of these three major cities become a testament to our unified celebration.”
“Although entries are set to close on Wednesday, we anticipate reaching capacity earlier than expected due to limited remaining slots,” continues Meyer. “For those still planning to participate, we encourage you to secure your spot today to avoid any disappointment. We look forward to another memorable National Women’s Day celebration with thousands of enthusiastic runners and walkers. After completing your 10km or 5km run/walk, be sure to stick around for the phenomenal live performances by GoodLuck (in Cape Town), Boohle (in Johannesburg), and Holly Rey (in Durban). You won’t want to miss these fantastic shows!”
